Karen and I cruised Hawaii during the first week in February. It was a nice trip, though the weather wasn't quite up to Hawaii standards. Here are a few pix from that trip.

Very beautiful! What islands did you get to visit? Did you see any dolphins or whales or get to snorkel? I had so much fun snorkeling when I was there.
Oh,yeah! We saw many whales, but no dolphins. We snorkeled on each island we visited. We began our trip in Honolulu, shopping and snorkeling a little there as well as absorbing our first sun rays. Our first port of call was Hilo on the Big Island. But it had been raining "sheets" for three days and our hike to the volcano was cancelled so we watch the Superbowl, instead. From there, we went to Maui. Our trip to Molokini (one of top 10 world dive sites) was aborted because of high seas, so we snorkeled off the coast just south of Lahaina. Good coral and fish, but not our goal of Molokini... Then back to the Big Island, Kona this time. Nice day there at a little beach right next to the tender dock. Then up to Kauaii for a kayak paddle up a river and short hike to a water fall, followed by a day at Poipu Beach. Back to Oahu, Honolulu. As was the case at home, weather was an unusual factor in Hawaii as it had been storming there for several weeks before our week on the islands.
